Ava Berlin Photos of Die Antwoord @ Rickshaw Stop

So … it definitely isn’t always easy being the opening DJ for a major hyped act. In fact, it can actually really suck sometimes when the crowd is all impatient. (Not that I’m speaking from experience haha) But this weekend’s show at Rickshaw Stop with Die Antwoord did not fall into that category … super awesome crowd … super sweaty dancey environment … just a cool vibe all around.

If you’ve never listened to Die Antwoord, they’re definitely worth checking out … they’re an internet sensation! kind of techno … meets South Africa … meets sexy … meets hip-hop … meets dance party … yeah, that about covers it. Whatever it is they do, they do it well and their followers were out in force this weekend … randomly, there were a few “Juggalos” ala Insane Clown Posse, which made the night that much more memorable [check the photos].

Long story short: DA kicked major ass at Rickshaw … totally miss the Rickshaw family and loved seeing them again!!!
